These ultra heavy duty swing set brackets are U.S.A.-made of high strength steel, approximately 1/8" in thickness, which is about twice the thickness of most the other brackets in the marketplace. They are then finished with a high temperature baked-on powder coat. The brackets are most typically used for building an A-Frame with 4x6 lumber for the beam and four 4x4 legs. The actual measurement of typical 4x6 lumber is 3 1/2"x 5 1/2", and the actual measurement of typical 4x4 lumber is 3 1/2"x 3 1/2". The brackets will fit these measurements. They will NOT fit lumber for the legs that measures more than 3 5/8", or lumber for the beam that measures more than 5 5/8".

These heavy duty brackets are most typically used for building an A-Frame with 4x6 lumber for the beam and four 4x4 legs, but they will actually fit any beam that is 5 1/2" high (absolute max. 5 5/8" high), with the width of the beam being of any width desired.

 

The actual measurement of typical 4x6 lumber is 3 1/2"x 5 1/2", and the actual measurement of typical 4x4 lumber is 3 1/2"x 3 1/2". The brackets will fit these measurements. They will NOT fit lumber for the legs that measures more than 3 5/8", or lumber for the beam that measures more than 5 5/8".
