Galvanized Hardware Kit - 80 Piece

This hardware kit contains the following pieces for building an A-frame swing set with 2 or 3 swings. This kit is complete for either the TALL SWING or the SPIDER SWING set. The kit has all the hardware for connecting the steel A-frame brackets to the lumber, and attaching the horizontal cross pieces on the legs, and for attaching the swing hangers. (If you shop around you will discover that this galvanized hardware will cost more than twice as much from the hardwares store or from Amazon.) The kit has the 3/8" x 7" hex bolts and the 3/8" x 4 1/2" carriage bolts that are both hard to find sizes in galvanized hardware. All the pieces are galvanized, except for the locknuts which are stainless steel:

Qty 4 - 3/8” x 6” galvanized lag screws
Qty 12 - 1/2” galvanized washers

Qty 16 - 3/8” stainless steel locknuts

CHECK OUT our newest bracket (PATENT PENDING), in 3 beautiful new colors. Wider and longer--more steel. These BLUE, GREEN, or DARK BRONZE brackets come with quantity 32 of the black fasteners and the Torx bit to drive them. The only hardware that does not come with them are the two carriage bolts for each bracket, along with the washer and lock nut for each carriage bolt. (The carriage bolts are not included because the size you will need depends on the width of the top beam you go with. (For the most typical 4"x6" beam, you will use four 3/8" x 4 1/2" carriage bolts, four 3/8" washers and four 3/8" lock nuts.))  Yes, that's right, these brackets will work with different sized beams--any width! These ultra heavy duty swing set brackets are U.S.A.-made of high strength steel, approximately 1/8" in thickness, which is about twice the thickness of most the other brackets in the marketplace. They are then finished with a high temperature baked-on powder coat.

 

These heavy duty brackets are most typically used for building an A-Frame with 4x6 lumber for the beam and four 4x4 legs, but they will actually fit any beam that is 5 1/2" high (absolute max. 5 5/8" high), with the width of the beam being of any width desired.

 

The actual measurement of typical 4x6 lumber is 3 1/2"x 5 1/2", and the actual measurement of typical 4x4 lumber is 3 1/2"x 3 1/2". The brackets will fit these measurements. They will NOT fit lumber for the legs that measures more than 3 5/8", or lumber for the beam that measures more than 5 5/8".
