These ultra heavy duty swing set brackets are U.S.A.-made of high strength steel, approximately 1/8" in thickness, which is about twice the thickness of most the other brackets in the marketplace. They are then finished with a high temperature baked-on powder coat. The brackets are most typically used for building an A-Frame with 4x6 lumber for the beam and four 4x4 legs. The actual measurement of typical 4x6 lumber is 3 1/2"x 5 1/2", and the actual measurement of typical 4x4 lumber is 3 1/2"x 3 1/2". The brackets will fit these measurements. They will NOT fit lumber for the legs that measures more than 3 5/8", or lumber for the beam that measures more than 5 5/8" high. They will however fit a beam of any width, with the appropriate sized carriage bolt connecting the two sides of the bracket. (Not recommended that the beam exceed 6" in width.)

CHECK OUT our newest bracket (PATENT PENDING), in 3 beautiful new colors. Wider and longer--more steel. These BLUE, GREEN, or DARK BRONZE brackets come with quantity 32 of the black fasteners and the Torx bit to drive them. The only hardware that does not come with them are the two carriage bolts for each bracket, along with the washer and lock nut for each carriage bolt. (The carriage bolts are not included because the size you will need depends on the width of the top beam you go with. (For the most typical 4"x6" beam, you will use four 3/8" x 4 1/2" carriage bolts, four 3/8" washers and four 3/8" lock nuts.))  Yes, that's right, these brackets will work with different sized beams--any width! These heavy duty brackets are most typically used for building an A-Frame with 4x6 lumber for the beam and four 4x4 legs, but they will actually fit any beam that is 5 1/2" high (absolute max. 5 5/8" high), with the width of the beam being of any width desired.

 

The actual measurement of typical 4x6 lumber is 3 1/2"x 5 1/2", and the actual measurement of typical 4x4 lumber is 3 1/2"x 3 1/2". The brackets will fit these measurements. They will NOT fit lumber for the legs that measures more than 3 5/8", or lumber for the beam that measures more than 5 5/8".
